Cauliflower seems to be used for everything and anything these days — from rice to smoothies and more. It’s healthy — cue in cruciferous veggies — and is perfect for low carb dining. All cruciferous veggies contain large amounts of a phytochemical known as glucosinolate, which fights inflammation, inactivates carcinogens, reprograms cancer cells to die off and prevents tumor formation and metastasis. Cauliflower is part of this family of veggies, as is kale, cabbage, Brusselssprouts, broccoli and more.
What you’ll need
- 1 medium-sized cauliflower
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp sea salt
How to make it
- Rub a medium-sized cauliflower with olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt.
- Pop on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 40 minutes at 160C.
- Drizzle with extra olive oil or butter and enjoy while still hot and steamy.
